📢 The Let Her In team is back in Europe after participating at the 17the Global Youth Peace Fest hashtag#GYPF2024 🙆♂️ 🙆♀️ hosted by Yuvsatta (youth for peace) in Chandigarh, India.
🌍Women in both Europe and India often face stereotypes questioning their leadership abilities in business, top management, politics, which reinforces barriers to equal opportunities in professional settings. The LHI team, comprising partners from Spain DomSpain – Educational and Technological Services and Open Europe EuroDesk, the Netherlands VIOne Consult, and Bulgaria Nikanor LTD organised a keynote session and working groups dedicating to promoting gender equality. ✨
🔆 The LHI was part of the jury for the national inter-school competition “SDG Challenger Trophy”, aimed at engaging students in addressing the United Nation’s SDG and presenting solutions to real-world problems, fostering creativity and critical thinking.
🎈🎉 The Organising Committee of the Conference also awarded certificates to ditinguish young leaders of the organisations, LHI members, active in local and regional activities focusing leadership, transformative change, and gender equality. Congratulations to medea pavliashvili from Umbrella NGO, Georgia and Elizabeth Nencheva from VIOne Consult, the Netherlands. 🏅
The LHI team visited a teachers’ training college of Chandigarh and an association that supports young girls from underprivileged families. 👱♀️ 👵
💡 Following the conference’s motto of the conference – Inspire.Lead.Change – the participants embraced a shared comitment to promoting gender equality on all levels.
