Tbilisi, Georgia – June 11-12, 2024

The 2024 International Networking Event organised by Let Her In and hosted by a Georgian NGO UMBRELLA in the capital of the country, Tbilisi, on 11-12 June, successfully brought together a diverse group of organisations committed to advancing diversity and inclusion. Over two enriching days in the beautiful city of Tbilisi, participants engaged with experts and international partners from the EU and outside it, fostering valuable connections that will help shape future initiatives.

The event revolved around spotting opportunities and vision for inclusion in the study and workplace as well as enhancing youth work initiatives.

The keynote speeches delivered by Let Her In President, Ms. Olena Korzhykova, and Teona Maisuradze, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technologies at the Georgian National University, initiated a discussion that explored approaches from various countries to identify and leverage opportunities for promoting equal access and facilitating transitions to the labour market, as well as fostering inclusivity in educational settings and workplaces. The conversation focused on developing a shared vision that acknowledges diversity as a fundamental asset.

During the session dedicated to Creating Global Impact, participants delved into the attributes of effective leaders, focusing on the knowledge, skills, and understanding necessary for building a strong personal brand and entrepreneurial network.

The event also provided insights into EU TENDERS and Alliances for Innovation funding opportunities, international mobility programmes such as ALMA, upcoming calls for projects under the Erasmus+ programme, networking opportunities by the CEFEC Social Firms Europe in order to empower attendees to take action in their respective fields.

During the session dedicated to the youth work initiatives, the local participants representing public authorities and private NGOs presented various projects and initiatives that take place in Georgia and shared best local practices. The round table discussion continued by a study visit to an NGO in Gori and meeting their members. During the meeting, recognizing the unique challenges faced in engaging young people, participants brainstormed creative solutions to enhance youth work initiatives.

The 2024 International Networking Event was a resounding success, showcasing the commitment of diverse stakeholders to fostering an inclusive future. Attendees left with new connections, enhanced skills, and a renewed passion for driving positive change in their communities.
