In 2023, the “Languages of the World” Conference crossed borders for the first time, taking place in the vibrant coastal city of Setúbal, Portugal.
Co-organized by EDENSOL and Let Her In, the event gathered young people, educators, and professionals from across Europe under the theme “To Speak Is to Connect.”

The conference explored how technology and linguistic diversity can help build more inclusive and open societies.
Among the most notable activities were:

• A European linguistic hackathon, developing digital tools for language learning.

• An intercultural communication workshop featuring real case studies of cross-border collaboration.

• An art and language exhibition, showcasing Portuguese and Catalan artists.

This third edition highlighted that beyond words, languages are bridges that connect communities, values, and cultures.
